Sautéed Sprouts (Serves: Two, Preparation Time: 15 minutes)

Yet another healthy, yummy and spicy meal!

Ingredients

  • 200 gms sprouted black chickpeas (kaale chane)
  • 400 gms sprouted whole green gram (sabut moong)
  • 1 tsp refined oil
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes
  • 1 green chilly
  • Small piece ginger - grated
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • ¼ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves


Steps

  • In a wok, heat 1 tsp oil; add a pinch of asafoetida

  • Add finely chopped onions and stir till they turn brown

  • Add finely chopped tomatoes and green chilly, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt; cook till all the spices blend well with the tomatoes and onions

  • Now add both the variety of sprouts and a little water and cover with a lid; cook on low flame for about 8-10 minutes

  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves
